Sanitarium-Rotary Wellness Walk brings the community together for fun, fitness and fellowship

Gosford’s first-ever Sanitarium–Rotary Club of Gosford City Wellness Walk was a huge success, with more than 120 participants joining the 1.6km stroll along the beautiful Gosford waterfront on Tuesday, 22 October 2025.

Coinciding with Mental Health Month, the morning encouraged locals to walk, talk and connect – a simple reminder of how small steps can make a big difference to our wellbeing.

The event was officially opened by Dr Gordon Reid MP, with Mayor Lawrie McKinna also sharing inspiring words before walkers set off from Lions Park. With perfect walking weather and plenty of smiles, the morning was filled with positive energy and community spirit.

After the walk, participants enjoyed a delicious breakfast provided by Sanitarium, along with prize presentations, and the announcement of the Best Dressed Team winners.

The event raised more than $10,000, supporting local charity Walk it Off and the Rotary Club of Gosford City’s community projects throughout the year.

A special thank you goes to Dr Leanne Faulkner, who pioneered this inaugural event with passion and purpose.

With such an enthusiastic response, the club is already planning to make next year’s Wellness Walk even bigger and better – bringing more locals together to start the day well.
