Breakfast of Champions with Lydia Williams
Lydia Williams joins us for our Breakfast of Champions

Football fans on the Central Coast are set for a very special morning, with Gosford City Rotary announcing an exciting “Breakfast of Champions” event ahead of the 2026 Men’s World Cup featuring Matilda’s icon Lydia Williams as special guest.
Joining Lydia will be Central Coast football legend Lawrie McKinna and Socceroos cult hero Andrew Redmayne for an entertaining and insightful discussion on the world game, World Cup predictions, players to watch and stories from inside elite football.
Lydia Williams said she was thrilled to be returning to the Central Coast, a region that holds a special place in her heart. “The Coast is a place very close to my heart and I’m really happy to be supporting Rotary and helping raise much-needed funds for important projects supporting vulnerable people in the
community,” Lydia said.
“I’m super excited to share my love for the world’s greatest game and I can’t wait to catch up with friends Lawrie McKinna and fellow goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne.” “There’ll definitely be plenty of banter between the three of us, I think people can expect a lot of laughs along with some great football stories and insights.”
President of Gosford City Rotary, Michael McQuade, said the club was incredibly grateful for the generosity and support shown by the three football greats.
“These are the kinds of legends who always turn up,” Mr McQuade said. “They support us to help others and we couldn’t be more grateful or proud.”
“Whether you’re a die-hard football fan or just love the buzz of a World Cup, this is your chance to get the inside edge before the action kicks off.”
The event will raise funds for Gosford City Rotary projects supporting vulnerable people locally and internationally. The “Breakfast of Champions” promises a unique opportunity for football fans to hear first-hand insights from some of Australia’s most respected names in the game while supporting Rotary’s
ongoing community work.
